Short biography

Stephan joined the Centre for Quantum Information and Communication in July 2016 to take up a position as a postdoctoral scholar. Prior he was a postdoc at Unicamp in Campinas, Brazil. During 2011-2014 he worked with Dr. Arleta Szkoła and Prof. Nihat Ay on maximum-entropy inference of quantum states and many-party correlations at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences in Leipzig, Germany. Before that he was a member of the mathematical physics group at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Germany where he received a PhD for his thesis on exponential families of quantum states (2009), supervised by Prof. Andreas Knauf.
