Short biography

  • Born in 1984 in Mainz, Germany.
  • I started my physics studies at the Johannes-Gutenberg Universität, Mainz in 2003.
  • From summer 2006 to end of spring 2007 I did an Erasmus term at the Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan KTH, Stockholm, Sweden.
  • After my final exams I did the last year of my studies (the diploma thesis/“Diplomarbeit”) from beginning 2008 to beginning 2009, at our service QuIC under the direction of Nicolas J. Cerf in collaboration with Arno Rauschenbeutel (now head of the group Applied Quantum Physics in Vienna).
  • Since spring 2009 I am a PhD student at QuIC in the field of continuous variable communication
